On May 20th, 2019, The Advanced Education Program Office (AEP) of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) had a meeting with the representative of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), Dr. Stefan De Haan, a Researcher in the field Agrobiodiversity And Food Systems in Vietnam.
In the meeting, Dr. Hoang Hai Thanh, AEP representative, introduced TUAF, AEP, the achievements and the current international cooperation network of the university to the guests.
Dr. Stefan De Haan , the representative of CIAT, shared information about the opportunities and its academics to take part in collaborations and supports at all stages of the necessary interactions. He shared information about CIAT activities and working opportunities for students on Intensive Agriculture, GIS and Remote Sensing, Sustainable foods systems, Environmental Footprint, and breeding programs, Genetic enhancement and soil management and access to the microbiology laboratory.
Dr. Stefan De Haan also expressed creative opportunities in Climate change Lab, in which students can learn experimentation on climate change like modeling, weather forecasting. They also offer students to do short specific assignments, internships, part-time job opportunities and theses.
